Hyundai recently rolled out the 2024 Tucson, but the automaker is already talking about the 2025 model. The popular SUV is getting an update for the model year, bringing fresh styling and a more sensible interior with physical buttons.
The 2025 Tucson gets a fresh grille design that retains the SUV’s funky “winged” LED daytime running lights. Reshaped bumpers and new alloy wheel designs highlight the exterior styling changes, but the Tucson keeps its sculpted sides and geometric bodywork shapes. Inside, Hyundai said it prioritized practicality, giving the SUV more physical controls for vital functions like climate control and audio.
Hyundai highlighted the SUV’s safety equipment and interior comfort, saying the new design features strong horizontal lines and “a sense of openness.” The automaker didn’t hand out infotainment specs, such as screen size and features, but the new Tucson gets a dual-screen setup behind a single curved glass panel. The SUV’s gear shifter has been moved to the steering column, similar to the Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6.
That said, Hyundai was clear that the new Tucson is designed for European audiences. Even so, we’ll likely also see an update in the near future, as the SUV has been around for a few years without a refresh, so its time is coming.
