2024 Brings Mild Changes For Mitsubishi's Catalog

2024 brings mild changes for mitsubishi s catalog

Mitsubishi is still around and kicking, and its 2024 lineup is getting a few updates to help it stay afloat among a sea of better-known rivals. The automaker recently announced the updates for the new model year, and while none are earth-shattering, there’s reason to be hopeful for the brand and its future.

The automaker’s updates for 2024 include a new Platinum Edition trim for the Outlander and Outlander PHEV. It brings a black paint job and silver roof, a light grey interior, and unique trim pieces. Both SUVs also get a Black Edition trim, which adds semi-aniline leather upholstery and blacked-out badges.

The smaller Outlander Sport is now available in a Trail Edition trim with aggressive styling elements, mud flaps, all-weather floor mats, and more. The Sport also gets all-wheel drive as standard equipment. Interestingly, Mitsubishi is carrying the Mirage into 2024, and it (gasp) finally comes standard with an armrest. The tiny car also picked up two new paint colors for 2024.

Though its warranty coverage was already one of the best in the business, with ten years or 100,000 miles of powertrain coverage, Mitsubishi added two years of limited maintenance for all models starting in 2024 to sweeten the pot. Whether that will do enough to boost sales remains to be seen, but Mitsubishi has a couple of sleeper hits in its catalog, including the Outlander. The move to Nissan Rogue bones for the SUV has made it surprisingly impressive for comfort and tech, so 2024 may be the year to make a move if you’ve been on the fence.
